Evelyn Malone

Evelyn Malone, 66, of Bluff City, Tenn., passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2018, at Johnson City Medical Center. A native of Elizabethton, she was the daughter of the late Glenn Huffman Jr. and Julia Viola Cook Huffman.
Mrs. Malone was employed as a cook at the Ridgewood Barbeque. She was a member of Watauga First Baptist Church. She enjoyed working puzzles and reading.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Everette Tony Malone Sr.; a son, Everette Tony “Bo” Malone Jr.; and four sisters, Arlene, Penny, Rachel and Pam.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Michelle Deloach, Elizabethton; two granddaughters, Trista Marie Freeman and Chelsie Elaine Malone, both of Elizabethton; a grandson, Codey Lee Carter, Elizabethton; a great-granddaughter, Hannah Norris, Elizabethton; a brother, Bobby Huffman, Elizabethton; three sisters, Peggy Doss, Fall Branch, Tenn., Patricia Huffman and Loretta Huffman, both of Greeneville, Tenn.; and a special friend, Ricky Goodson, Bluff City. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A service to honor the life of Evelyn Malone will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 11, in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral and Cremation Services with Rev. Jerry Cornett officiating. Eulogy will be given by Mr. Mark Peters. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from noon until 2 p.m. Sunday, prior to the service. Interment will follow the funeral service on Sunday in Jones Cemetery, Big Arm Road, Sullivan County, Tenn. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations to the charity of their choice.
