Scott Webb, 61, of Elizabethton, passed away on Wednesday, October 3, 2018, at Johnson City Medical Center as a result from an extended battle with multiple myeloma. He was born in Elizabethton to Diane Kelly Barfield and the late James Edward Webb. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah McKee Webb, in February 2018; his paternal grandparents, Clarence and Stella Webb; and his maternal grandparents, Thomas and Letha Kelly.
Scott owned and operated a marine service business at Mallard Cove and was a member of First United Methodist Church of Elizabethton.
Those left to cherish his memory include his mother and stepfather, Diane Kelly Barfield and Lyn Barfield of Elizabethton; one sister, Vickie Sutherland and husband Randall of Elizabethton; and two brothers, Bart Webb of Portsmouth, Va., and Kelly Webb of Elizabethton. Several nieces and nephews also survive as well as a special friend, Sharon Brown.
A service to celebrate the life of Scott Webb will be conducted at 6 p.m. Monday, October 8, in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral and Cremation Services with Rev. Ray Amos officiating. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, prior to the memorial service. Private disposition will be conducted at a later date.
