Alberta Wilson Lilley

Alberta Wilson Lilley, 93, of Hampton, passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2018, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital.
A native of Roan Mountain, she was a daughter of the late George Lee and Rosie McCoury Wilson.
Alberta was employed in earlier years at the American Bemberg Corporation, North American Rayon Corporation and retired from Texas Instruments. She attended Riverview Baptist Church. She loved to cook for her many family members.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl H. Lilley; two sisters, Virginia Palmer and Mary Lou Winters; and her brother, George Lee Wilson Jr.
Survivors include her sister, Loretta Archer, Elizabethton, and several nieces and nephews.
A service to celebrate the life of Alberta Lilley will be conducted at 7 p.m. Friday, September 21, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Mark Grubb officiating. The graveside service and interment will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, September 22, in the Johnson-Roan View Cemetery, Roan Mountain. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 12:20 p.m. Saturday, will be Adam Storie, Keith Morley, Rick Elliott, John Colbaugh, Rodney Payne and Theron Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Steven Cooper, Kevin Cooper and Andrew Colbaugh. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the staff of Ivy Hall Nursing Home and the doctors and staff of Sycamore Shoals 3rd Floor and ICU for the excellent care Alberta received. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 12:20 p.m. Saturday to go to the cemetery.
