Area youth ‘attack addiction’ with game at Parks & Rec

With the battle lines drawn, children from across the region were able to have some fun for a good cause Tuesday afternoon.
The fourth annual Homeschool Nerf War waged inside the City of Elizabethton Recreation Center with several youngsters stopping by to have some fun. The event is sponsored by the Carter County Drug Prevention Youth Board, UT – Extension of Carter County, Parks & Rec and Elizabethton/Carter County Public Library. The event is used as a way to encourage children they can have fun without getting into trouble. Various homeschool activities happen each month.
