Steve L. Nidiffer

Steve L. Nidiffer, 59, of Elizabethton, passed away on Friday, August 10, 2018, at Johnson City Medical Center following an extended illness. He was born in Elizabethton and was a son of Hattie Cordelia Pierce Nidiffer of Elizabethton and the late Luther Oliver. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by an infant brother, Brett Oliver.
Mr. Nidiffer was a former employee of NARC in Elizabethton. He also worked as an auto mechanic and as a carpenter and he enjoyed attending the downtown Elizabethton Car Show. He was of the Baptist faith.
Those left to cherish his memory include two brothers, Ronald Nidiffer (Mary) and James Nidiffer, all of Elizabethton; a sister, Mrs. Ronnie (Annie) Bradley of Elizabethton; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
A service to honor the life of Mr. Nidiffer will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday, August 16, in the Tetrick Funeral Home, Chapel of Peace, Elizabethton, with Pastor Charles Biggs officiating. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, prior to the service, or at the home of his brother, Ronald, at other times.
