A ‘thank you’ to those who helped with ARM benefit

Dear Friends of ARM,
Contributions from the ARM Dinner, Silent Auction and Bluegrass Concert are still rolling in, but it looks as if the final amount of gifts will be around $1400. We at ARM are very excited and also grateful for this. The meal was wonderful, the decorations were beautiful, and the music made us smile. Helen Wilson told of the history of ARM beginning in 1991 and we all had a chance to bid on the Silent Auction.
There are many people and businesses to thank. Each contributed in a significant way. Thank you to the following businesses for contributing to the Silent Auction: Simple Blessings, Fletchers Homemade, His Space, Blue Ridge Art Gallery, Misos, Covered Bridge Cafe, Jiggy Ray’s, Sweetsie Treats, Valley Forge Auction, Lingerfelt Boutique, Coffee and Company, Emily and Linda at Smart Cuts, and The Muscle Whisperer. These people/businesses made the program fun.
Many thanks to Food City for the donation of hams for the dinner. Thank you to Mary Jackson for cooking and coordinating the kitchen. Thank you to the Hopwood Christian Church members who helped Mary in the kitchen and served the meal. Many thanks to the ARM Board of Directors for decorating and cleaning up in the kitchen after the meal. Thank you to Doug Theobald and his crew for the most organized valet parking ever.
The Bluegrass group, Banjo Romantica, filled our hearts with joy with their melodies.
So many people worked together to help our community of Carter County. With these funds we are able to feed the hungry and clothe those who need clothing. From all of us to all of you, thank you.

Sincerely,
Elizabeth Banks
President, ARM Food Pantry
