Timothy Todd Stines

Timothy Todd Stines, 52, of Elizabethton, passed away Friday, July 27, 2018, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital after a brief illness. He was born September 19, 1965 in Johnson City but had lived his entire life in Elizabethton.
Todd was a graduate of Elizabethton High School and owned his own construction company. He was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church. He was a member of the NRA and was an avid hunter who loved to shoot game or just for practice. He had the biggest heart for his family and friends. Todd was a social butterfly and would give you the shirt off his back. He was the best dad, husband and son anyone could ask for. He left a hole in our hearts that could never be filled.
Survivors include his wife, Leona Bowers Stines; a daughter, Brittany Stines and friend Daniel Phillips; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Melissa Bowers; a grandson, Benjamin; his parents, David and Norma Jean Stines; a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Crystal Stines; and a nephew, Axel Stines.
Funeral services for Timothy Todd Stines will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 31, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Sam Ferguson and the Rev. Nathan Jennings officiating. The graveside service and interment will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 1, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 12:20 a.m. Wednesday, will be Michael Bowers, Robert Stines, Daniel Phillips, Jeff Guinn, Keith Renfro, Keith Guinn, Charles Sellers and Dave Street. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the staff of ICU at Sycamore Shoals Hospital for the excellent care he received and also to Brian Smith. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 12:20 p.m. Wednesday to go to the cemetery.
