The Friends of Roan Mountain will be holding its 10th Annual Xtreme Roan Adventures at Roan Mountain State Park this Friday and Saturday.
The two-day event seeks to educate kids ages 3 to 15 on the natural world around them through programs that engage young explores with hands-on demonstrations.
Friday will have free adventures and will feature “Encounters of the Eight-Legged Kind Stage Show”, a Spider Hunt, Salamanders at Night Hike, and a Moth Party.
Twenty more adventures start at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 28.
Parents are required to accompany their children on the adventures.
