A pair of residents from the community will be showcasing their ability to flip houses over the weekend.
Shelly Nupp and her mother, Kathy Johnson, are scheduled to appear on the show “First Time Flippers” on Saturday, June 30, at 9 p.m. on the DIY Network. Nupp and Johnson worked back in October to “flip a house” located in the Blackbottom neighborhood in Elizabethton. Show officials followed the duo’s journey as they worked to renovate the house. Filming took place in various local areas, including Elizabethton Lowes and Camp Ta-Pa-Win-Go. Nupp recently told the Elizabethton Star that she and her mother had a blast filming the show.
“First Time Flippers” is currently in its eighth season. The episode featuring Nupp and Johnson is titled “Flipping Over Cabinets” and the description of the episode mentions that some fun will be encountered throughout the experiences.
A follow-up on Nupp and Johnson’s experience on the show, and feedback from the show’s airing, will appear in an upcoming edition of the Elizabethton Star.
