Pinecrest Baptist
Vacation Bible School will be held June 4-8 at Pinecrest Baptist Church, 2129 Old Lewis Road, Johnson City.
Classes will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. for ages three through youth.

Unaka Baptist
The Brotherhood at Unaka Baptist Church will have a country-style breakfast Saturday from 7 to 10 a.m.
The menu will include biscuits, gravy, eggs, two kinds of sausage, bacon and hash brown potatoes. Other items are available on request.
The cost is $7 with proceeds going to the church building fund.
Vacation Bible School will be held June 10-13 with classes from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The VBS theme is “Game On.”
A VBS kickoff party will be held Saturday, June 9, from 12 noon to 4 p.m.

Laurel Fork Ministry
An ordination service will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday at Laurel Fork Ministry. Paul Tolley will be ordained to the ministry.
Laurel Fork Ministry is located in Hampton on Highway 321 next to the post office.

CBM Open House
An open house and picnic for the Children’s Bible Ministries at Watauga will be held June 2 from 1 to 6 p.m. Camp activities begin at 1 p.m. and will include pool, zipline, climbing tower, gym, octoball, canteen and more.
A picnic supper will be served at 4 p.m. in the gym.
Those planning to attend are asked to call the camp office at 543-2201 by May 30 or visit the camp website at: www.cbm.camp.com
Those attending are asked to consider bringing a paper item to help with summer camp. Items needed include paper towels, bathroom tissue, paper napkins, foam plates, plastic ware, etc.
Summer camp begins June 4.

Bethlehem Lutheran
“Born of Water And The Spirit” is the sermon theme for morning worship May 27 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Johnson City.
Morning worship is at 8 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. Communion is served at both services.
Interpreted services for the deaf are available the second and fourth Sundays at the 10:45 a.m. service.
Bethlehem Lutheran is located at 201 E. Watauga Ave.

First Presbyterian
Dr. Bryan Wyatt, pastor, will deliver the sermon at Sunday’s morning worship service at First Presbyterian Church, Elizabethton. His sermon is titled “Good Guys With Guns.”
The service begins at 11 a.m. Sunday. An Education Hour is at 9:45 a.m.
Other opportunities of the week include Meditation at 7 p.m. Wednesday; Thursdays with Jesus Reading Group from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon Thursday; and yoga Friday at 10 a.m.
The church is located at 119 W. F St. All are invited.

Watauga Point U-M
Watauga Point United Methodist Church will host a yard sale Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. with proceeds from the sale going to the Relay for Life, which will be held June 22.
The yard sale will be held at the church, Gap Creek Road and W. G St., behind Holiday Market.
In addition to the yard sale, there will also be a bake sale.

First Christian
Minister Michael Klaus will bring the message Sunday at morning worship at First Christian. The service will begin at 9:45 a.m. with the communion meditation by Todd Maines. Scripture will be read by Paula Manning and special music will be by Gene Estep.
Bible School classes will meet at 11 a.m.
The evening service is at 6 p.m.
Church offices will be closed Monday in observance of Memorial Day. However, the Ladies Bible Study will be held at 6:30 p.m. Led by Paula Manning, the group will continue their new lesson series by Kay Arthur.
The Tuesday Morning Prayer Service led by John Smith will meet at 10 a.m.
The Wednesday evening service is at 6 p.m.

Doe River
Vacation Bible School will be held at Doe River Baptist Church May 30 and 31 and June 1 and 3. Classes will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m.

First United Methodist
“Who Will Go For Us?” is the theme of the Sunday sermon at First United Methodist Church, Elizabethton. The Rev. Raymond Amos, Sr., pastor, will address the call based on scripture from Isa. 6: 1-8.
The worship service begins at 9:55 a.m. followed by Sunday School at 11:20 a.m.
The 4:12 Junior High Student Ministries will meet Sunday from 4:30 to 5:25 p.m. and the Senior High students from 5:30 to 7:15 p.m. Coolagers will meet Wednesday at 6 p.m.
The Wednesday night service is at 6 p.m. in the sanctuary.

Crabtree Free Will
Crabtree Free Will Baptist Church, Hogum Hollow Road, Roan Mountain, will begin revival June 4 with services nightly at 7 p.m.
The evangelist is Scotty Jenkins from Buladean, N.C.
