First United Methodist
The message for Sunday morning worship at First United Methodist Church, Elizabethton, is “Jesus Is Our Cornerstone,” based on scripture from Acts 4: 5-12.
The service will begin at 9:55 a.m., followed by Sunday School at 11:20 a.m.
The 4:12 Junior High Student Ministries will meet from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday; the Senior High group from 5:45 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday. The Coolagers will meet Wednesday at 6 p.m. in the Coolager Hut.
Wednesday evening Bible study will be at 6 p.m. in the sanctuary.
First United Methodist is located at 325 E. E St. The Rev. Raymond Amos is pastor.
First Christian
The morning worship service Sunday at First Christian Church, Elizabethton, will begin at 9:45 a.m. The message will be presented by Minister Michael Klaus from his sermon series “But Christ.”
The communion meditation will be given by Jeff Campbell. Scripture will be read by Jonathan Baker and special music will be by Gene Estep.
Bible school classes are at 11 a.m.
The evening service is at 6 p.m. Leslie Brockley will serve as song leader.
The Tuesday Morning Prayer Service, led by John Smith, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the sanctuary.
Wednesday evening Bible study and prayer is at 6 p.m.

New Liberty
New Liberty Freewill Baptist Church will observe Youth Sunday, April 22, during which the youth of the church will be in charge of all the Sunday School activities. The Recovery Soldiers Ministry will be in charge of the worship service, beginning at 11 a.m. The group will share their testimonies regarding how they have recovered from drug and alcohol addictions through the work of the faith based ministry.
Lunch will be served in the church fellowship center following the morning services. Rev. Ray Colbaugh invites everyone to attend this special service which recognizes that through God all things are possible.
The church is located on 113 Peters Hollow Road near the Stoney Creek Volunteer Fire Department.
Roan Street
Roan Street Free Will Baptist Church will have a special song service Sunday at the 11 a.m. worship service. Featured will be Greater Glory.
There will be a praise and worship service at 6 p.m. Sunday.
The church is located at 820 N. Roan St.
The pastor is Tim Gouge, who invites the public to attend.
Moore’s Chapel
Moore’s Chapel Free Will Baptist Church will have a spring revival beginning Sunday and continuing through April 25. The service Sunday will begin at 6 p.m. and Monday through Wednesday at 7 p.m.
The guest evangelist is the Rev. Kenneth Grindstaff. Special singing will be featured each service.
The prayer room will open at 5:45 p.m. Sunday and 6:45 p.m. Monday through Wednesday.
Everyone is invited to attend.

First Presbyterian
Sunday’s sermon at First Presbyterian Church, Elizabethton, is titled “Martin’s Mistake.” The message will be presented at the morning service by the pastor, Dr. Brian Wyatt. The service begins at 11 a.m.
An Education Hour for all ages is at 9:45 a.m.
Other opportunities for the week include Meditation at 7 p.m. Wednesday; Thursdays with Jesus Reading Group from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon Thursday; and yoga at 10 a.m. Friday.
