Large crowd turns out for VFW event

VFW Post 2166 hosted a special “meet and greet” event Tuesday evening to allow residents to speak with candidates seeking office in the upcoming county elections.
According to VFW officials, 48 of the candidates appearing on the upcoming May 1 County Primary Election ballot and the August 2 General Election ballot turned attended the event. A large number of residents also stopped by to meet the candidates and speak with them.
The informal setting allowed candidates to set up a table or move through the room speaking with constituents.
