Emma Sue Hoilman

Emma Sue Hoilman, 87, Johnson City, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 9, 2018, at her residence. She was a native of Roan Mountain and a daughter of the late Alfred Day and Creola Kelley Day.
Mrs. Hoilman was a long-time member of Sinking Creek Baptist Church where she had taught the Ruth Sunday School Class for several years. She had worked many years for East Tennessee Dialysis Center.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Hoilman, in 2010; a granddaughter, Whitney Hoilman; and two sisters, Grace Pajvoic and Norma Churchill.
Survivors include two sons, Bryan Hoilman and his wife, Amy, of Johnson City, and Tim Hoilman and his wife, Gail, of Bridgewater, Va.; two grandsons, Seth Hoilman and his wife, Grace, of Bridgewater, Va., and Clint Hoilman and his wife, Libby, of Elizabethton; a great-grandson, Stetson Eli Hoilman; a brother, Albert Day and his wife, Sheila, of Elizabethton; two sisters, Dean Shultz of Elizabethton and Johnnie Dugger of Lenoir, N.C.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hoilman will be conducted at 7 p.m. Monday, March 12, at Sinking Creek Baptist Church, 2313 Elizabethton Highway, Johnson City, with Rev. Mark Harris and Rev. David Dugger officiating. Special music will be provided by Jeff Snyder and the Singing Duggers. The family will receive friends at the church from 5 p.m. until the service hour. Entombment services will be held Tuesday, March 13, at 1 p.m. at Roselawn Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. For those attending this service you are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:50 a.m. The family wishes to thank her caregivers, Emma Peters, Geraldine Hinkle, Lisa Carr Bentley, Ann Carr and Amy Hoilman; and to Ina Jarrett, Willie Horton, Keith Barnett and family, and Sinking Creek Baptist Ruth Sunday School Class for their prayers and visits.
