Elizabethton Police Department investigators have filed charges against a juvenile in connection with threats made toward other individuals at a city school.
“EPD received information that the juvenile had made threats of harm toward others at a T.A. Dugger Jr. High School in Elizabethton,” EPD Capt. Shane Darling said.
According to Darling, the EPD’s investigation began after they received reports of an incident that reportedly happened in mid-January involving a student.
“Due to the corroboration of statements, and the fact that the threats caused fear to the students and faculty, the student is being charged with False Report,” Darling said. “It is still under investigation. There is the possibility of further charges being placed.”
Darling said more information regarding the incident or any additional charges would be released at a later time.
