Wayne Turbyfill

Wayne Turbyfill, 72, of Heaton, N.C., went home to be with our Lord on Monday, December 18, 2017, while comfortably surrounded by his family.
He was the second oldest son born at Grace Hospital in Banner Elk to the late Ernest and Beulah Turbyfill from Blevins Creek.
Wayne was married to Loraine Turbyfill where together they owned the Cranberry 76 Service Station before he retired. He was a well-known mechanic and tow-truck driver amongst his other skill sets. He loved drag racing, being around those he loved and talking about times gone by.
He is survived by his wife, Loraine Odom Turbyfill; their daughter and son-in-law, Brandy and Daniel Boone; two grandsons, Bentley and Braxton Boone; his daughter and son-in-law, Renae and Josh Brown; two granddaughters, Krystal Turbyfill and Allison Brown; his son, Jackie Turbyfill, and granddaughter, Britney Turbyfill; along with many siblings, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends that have become family.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
Memorial Funeral Chapel is serving the Turbyfill family.
