Christy Lynn Carver, 41, Watauga, passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2017, at her residence after a lengthy battle with brain cancer.
Christy was born in Johnson City to Agnes Fair Carver and the late Clyde Douglas Carver.
Christy graduated from Happy Valley High School in 1994, where she excelled in basketball.
It brought Christy much joy any time she was able to visit with her dear granddaughter, Krisli.
In addition to her mother, survivors include one daughter, Kelsey Carrier and her husband Logan; one granddaughter, Krisli Carrier; two brothers, Randy Carver and his wife Crystal and Tony Carver and his fiancée Mystee Wooten; two uncles, Stuart Fair and Harold Fair; and several nieces, nephews and aunts.
Christy’s family would like to give a special thank you to Amedisys Hospice for their amazing care and compassion.
The family of Christy Carver will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Friday, December 15, at Morris-Baker. The funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. with Brother Joe Searfoss officiating. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. A committal service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Monte Vista Memorial Park. Family and friends are asked to meet there at 9:50 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Brain Tumor Association at www.abta.org/donate.
