Frances G. Henson

Frances G. Henson, 89, of Johnson City, formerly of Nashville, Tenn., passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2017, at Hermitage Health Care Center of Elizabethton. Frances was born in Johnson City to the late Eugene G. and Minnie Smith Henson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Frank Hilton.
Frances retired as an accountant/auditor and was a member of Buffalo Valley Christian Church. She was a member of the Washington County Historical Society and the Washington County Genealogical Society. Frances enjoyed playing bridge with her friends.
Survivors include her sister-in-law, Irene Trivette, of Elizabethton; her cousins, Jean Sutphin, Dorothy Clark, Herman Colbaugh, Gerald and Gloria Holly; and several other cousins also survive.
A graveside service to celebrate the life of Frances G. Henson will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, December 11, at Happy Valley Memorial Park with Mr. Gerald Holly and Mr. Hobert Bradshaw, ministers, officiating. Those wishing to attend the service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 1:50 p.m. Monday. Friends may call at Tetrick Funeral Home of Elizabethton from 10 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Sunday, December 10, and from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. Monday, December 11.
