John Benjamin Ashburn

John Benjamin Ashburn, 39, of Johnson City, passed away Saturday, October 28, 2017, at Johnson City Medical Center.
Born December 27, 1977 in Chattanooga, he had lived a number of years in Johnson City.
John was a graduate of Cumberland County High School, Crossville, Tenn. He was employed as a cook at the Main Street Pizza Company, Johnson City.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Herbert Ashburn.
Survivors include his mother, Linda McGill Ashburn, of the home; his father and step-mother, James Allen and Louise Ashburn, Murfreesboro; two brothers, Andrew Lee Ashburn, Elizabethton, and Donald Stuart Ashburn, of the home; his maternal grandparents, Mike and Betty Jean McGill, Chattanooga; and his paternal grandmother, Geneda Ashburn, Crossville, Tenn. Several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
A memorial service for John Benjamin Ashburn will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 4, at Memorial Funeral Chapel. Jamie Dove will give a eulogy, Brooke Renfro, music, and a prayer by Sheila Shadwick. Honorary pallbearers will be employees of Main Street Pizza Company.
