Martha Estell Lyons Ward

Martha Estell Lyons Ward, 83, of Elizabethton, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, September 20, 2017, at Signature Health Care of Elizabethton following a brief illness.
Mrs. Ward was preceded in death by her husband, Delmar Ward, her parents, and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her daughter, Lois Holmes, Bluff City, and one grandson, Jimmy Cochran, of the home; her sisters-in-law, Alice Hyatt, Diane Cardin and Nyoka Ensor, all of Elizabethton; her brothers-in-law, J.D. Ward and Jimmy Ward; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
The graveside service for Martha Estell Lyons Ward will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, September 23, in the Lyons Cemetery (Holston Mountain Road) with the Rev. Mark Street officiating. Interment will follow the service. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
