Carroll Wayne Street

Carroll Wayne Street, of Pikeville, N.C., was born January 2, 1947, and passed to his heavenly home July 19, 2017.
Carroll was a native of Carter County, Tenn. He was a member of Rittertown Baptist Church, Hampton, Tenn., and a long-standing member and ordained at New Life Baptist Church in Goldsboro, N.C.
Carroll graduated from Hampton High School, where he played basketball. He attended King University and proudly served and retired as a Major from the United States Air Force. While he was in the Air Force he earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. He maintained a keen interest in electronics and was a licensed HAM operator, where he made worldwide friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Coy Street; his mother, Lorene Smith Street; a sister, Patsy Street Lyons; and a special niece, Kimberly Kay Cochran.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Street; son, Coy Wayne Street; son, Danny Street and wife Pam; grandchildren, Joshua Owen and Danielle Nicole Street, all of Pikeville, N.C., Jeff Eaton and his wife Summer, and grandchildren, Willow and Sage Eaton; his brother, Jerry Street and wife Nancy of Hampton, Tenn.; an uncle, Dean Smith and wife Glenda of Hampton, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews.
At his request, no formal services will be held. Family plans for a celebration of his life are being considered.
Memorials are being accepted as donations to Rittertown Baptist Church.
