The Elizabethton/Carter County Animal Shelter offers a variety of cats and dogs that are available for adoption. This week’s installment of “Furry Friends” include King, a Shepherd mix pooch. King has a neurological issue and is need of a special home. Another pooch available is Darla, a loveable white colored dog already spayed that would be ideal for a single pet home. Also available at the shelter is Clarice, a young kitten. Individuals can purchase dogs at the shelter for $55 and cats for $45. The cost covers shots and other needed costs. Animals brought to the shelter already spayed or nuetered are available for $10. A young terrier pooch is also looking for his home after being picked up by animal control.
