The Elizabethton/Carter County Animal Shelter is coming off a successful “Dog Days and Cool Cats of Summer” adoption event where over 100 cats and dogs were adopted out at no charge thanks to sponsors. This week’s installment of “Furry Friends” includes Hunter, a young male feline in need of a loving home. Also available for adoption is Jesse, a male canine. The cost of adoptions for animals is $45 for cats and $55 for dogs. Animals that are already spay and neutered when entering the facility are available for $10. A dog was also discovered on Siam Road and is searching for its owner.
