Loretta J. “Rhetta” Lowe

On June 14, 2017, Loretta J. “Rhetta” Lowe, 88, of Elizabethton, went to be with the Lord.
A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Raleigh and Luthenia Grindstaff Garland.
Mrs. Lowe was a member of Poplar Grove Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lionel D. Lowe.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Virginia and Melvin Myers; a son and daughter-in-law, Rondall and Nancy Lowe; her grandchildren, David Myers and Angel Welch and husband Elliott; one brother; three sisters; and her great-grandchildren.
The graveside service for Loretta J. “Rhetta” Lowe will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 17, in the Garland Cemetery with the Rev. Ray Colbaugh officiating. Interment will follow the service. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the cemetery at 12:50 p.m. Saturday, will be Rodney Campbell, Ronnie Campbell, Paul Taylor, Roger Hamm, Rick Arnold and Lloyd Myers.
