With a light agenda, the Elizabethton Regional Planning Commission met for a brief moment Thursday to consider a motion to close and unopened right-of-way.
The request was made by Commission Chairman Paul Bellamy, who stepped down as a voting member for the meeting due to a conflict of interest, and Barry Bellamy. The unopened right-of-way is located from Johnson Avenue to Beech Street and was described to be a possible site for development in the future.
Following a report of the property issued by City Planner Jon Hartman, the members of the commission voted to approve the request and have it be placed on the upcoming City Council agenda.
