Harold “Walter” Stevens

Harold “Walter” Stevens passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2017, at his residence in Sulphur Springs, Tenn. He was born August 10, 1969 in Hampton, Tenn., to the late Hershel and Margie Campbell Stevens. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Pamela Stevens.
Mr. Stevens was of the Freewill Baptist faith. He was employed by Stevens Septic Service. He attended Simerly Creek Believers Fellowship Church.
Survivors include two sons, Skyler Stevens, Elizabethton, Tenn., and Logan Stevens, Anderson, S.C.; one grandson, Aiden Stevens, Elizabethton, Tenn.; two step-children, Cailtin Stevens, Johnson City, Tenn., and Brittany White, Bluff City, Tenn.; one sister, Jennifer Campbell, Elizabethton, Tenn.; four brothers, Gary Campbell, Roan Mountain, Tenn., Hershel Stevens Jr. and William Stevens, both of Hampton, Tenn., and Chris Stevens, Mountain City, Tenn.; three special uncles, Clay Stevens, David Stevens and Doug Stevens, all of Hampton, Tenn.; two special aunts, Eula Elleson and Sandra Livingston; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Harold “Walter” Stevens will be conducted at 7 p.m. Friday, March 3, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Holsclaw and the Rev. Bill Highsmith officiating. Interment will be at a later date in the Stevens Cemetery (Walter Stevens Road, Hampton). The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Friends may also visit with the family at the residence of a brother, David Stevens, 103 Tilson Avenue, Hampton.
