Phyllis Sue Fletcher

Phyllis Sue Fletcher, 75, of Elizabethton, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2016, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital following an extended illness.
A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Rev. Roger and Eliza White Estep.
Sue was a 1959 graduate of Unaka High School. She had worked at American Air Filter, Elizabethton, and the Mazer Corporation, Johnson City, before her retirement. She was a member of Unaka Baptist Church.
Survivors left to cherish her memory are her husband of 56 years, Bobby Joe Fletcher; one son, Eric; one sister, Charlotte and Richard Donnley; one brother, Larry and Judy Estep; several nieces and nephews; her special friends, Edna Yates, Jerry and Shirley Grindstaff, the Red Hat Ladies Sunday School Class, deacons and special friends of Unaka Baptist Church, Walker and Diane Roberson, close friends of Eric, and special friends and co-workers at Snap-on Tools of Elizabethton.
The funeral service for Phyllis Sue Fletcher will be conducted at 7 p.m. Monday, December 5, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Walker Roberson officiating. The Rev. Eric Heaton will deliver the eulogy. Music will be under the direction of Sheila Nidiffer. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, prior to the service, and other times at the residence. Graveside services will be at a later date. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses of the ICU and the 2nd Floor of Sycamore Shoals Hospital for their loving care of Sue.
