Steve Honeycutt

Steve Honeycutt, 67, of Jonesville, Va., passed away Monday, September 26, 2016, at the Grand Strand Medical Center, Myrtle Beach, S.C. He was born July 21, 1949 in Johnson City, Tenn., to the late Fred and Nellie Berry Honeycutt.
Steve served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era; he was a member of the 589th Engineering Battalion C-Company. He was a retired logger. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with family and friends.
Steve was a devoted Christian and a member of Harbers Chapel Church, Pennington Gap, Va.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Honeycutt.
Survivors include his wife, Regenia Hyder Honeycutt; two daughters, Ashley Honeycutt Collins and husband Randy and April Scott and husband Greg, all of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; and four grandchildren, Hunter Collins, Peyton Scott, Rachel Collins and Grant Scott.
The funeral service for Steve Honeycutt will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, September 29, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Kim Casey and Randal Honeycutt officiating. Music will be provided by Kim Casey and wife Tonya. The graveside service and interment will be at 1:45 p.m. Thursday at Mountain Home National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 11:30 to 12:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
