Dwight Brent McKeehan

Dwight Brent McKeehan, born August 26, 1956, passed away Saturday, August 20, 2016, in Knoxville, Tenn. He was a son of Jean Guinn Saylor and the late Ronnie D. McKeehan.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his three brothers, Ronnie Gordon McKeehan, Milton Timothy McKeehan and Gregory Glen McKeehan; a special sister-in-law, Pam McKeehan; and his maternal grandparents, Grady and Gertie Rakes Guinn.
Dwight resided at Beta Home III, Knoxville, Tenn., and worked at the Sunshine Center, Knoxville. He loved learning about space, NASA, and he loved to travel. He loved wrestling.
Survivors include his mother, Jean G. Saylor and stepfather, Junior T. Saylor; two special nieces, Rebecca Wright and husband Brian, and Holly Hice and husband Aaron; one special nephew, Brian McKeehan; two great-nephews, Justin and Andrew Wright; one great-niece, Brittney Michele Hamrick; one aunt, Carol Burroughs; and special cousins.
The funeral service for Dwight McKeehan will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 25, in the East Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Linsey and Rev. Charles “Toonie” Cash officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. Wednesday in the East Parlor of Appalachian Funeral Home. The graveside service and interment will follow at Happy Valley Memorial Park, Elizabethton. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family would like to offer a special thank you to all the caregivers and friends at the Beta Home, to all his wrestling friends, and all those who knew him at the Sunshine Center.
