Donald B. Smith, 61, of Elizabethton, Tenn., lost his battle with cancer Friday, July 29, 2016, at his home. He was a native of Fort Campbell, Ky., and the son of the late Chester and Christine H. Westcott Smith.
Donnie was owner and operator of Smith’s Small Engine. He loved grilling out and spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and tinkering on all kinds of engines. He is loved by his family and friends.
Donnie was of the Christian faith.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 30 years, Kathy Smith, of the home; two daughters and a son-in-law, Cynthia and Charles Walters, Redington Beach, Fla., and Niki Russell, Elizabethton; a son, Travis F. Smith, Elizabethton; six beloved grandchildren, Jonathan, Logan, Zachary, Anthony, Tori and Morgan; three brothers, Wayne, Larry and Ronnie, all of Arizona; two sisters, Tanya and Toni, both of Florida; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, aunts, nieces and nephews; and a special mother-in-law, June Gasbarra.
A Gathering of Friends to honor the life of Donald B. Smith will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 3, in the Chapel of Peace of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton. Friends may also call at the residence at anytime.
