Elizabethton Principal David Wright announced to faculty this week that he will be retiring on June 30, according to Director of City Schools Dr. Corey Gardenhour.

“Mr. Wright was great with people and really enjoyed working with our kids, and we appreciate his service to the school system,” said Gardenhour. “We wish him the best of luck with his retirement and family.”

Wright has been the principal of EHS for three years following retirement from a North Carolina school system, Gardenhour said.
