“Happy Easter! Happy Easter!” East Side Elementary children cheered to passersby while parading through downtown Elizabethton. Each year, students in the Early Learning Center show off their creativity and class by participating in the Easter Hat Parade.
This year, they began at Elizabethton Federal Bank and paraded down Sycamore Street and East Elk Avenue to the park. Parents and grandparents marched with them celebrating the festivity of the upcoming Easter holiday. Hats were adorned with decorative grass, Easter eggs, bunny ears and other Spring-themed ornaments.
