Aaron F. Glover, 83, of Watauga, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2015, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital.
A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Luther B. and Ella Perry Glover.
Mr. Glover was retired from Mapes Piano String Company. He loved horseback riding and working on old cars. He was of the Baptist Faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Helen Foster Glover, an infant son, a son, Lynn Glover, a brother and two sisters.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Melinda Diane and Sam Carr, Elizabethton; a son, Randy Glover, Watauga; a daughter-in-law, Patty Glover, Elizabethton; four grandchildren, Jeanne Carr, Amy Palmer and husband Tim, Ginger Glover and Ashley Garland and husband Daniel; four great-grandchildren, Haley Glover, Tiffany Townson, Jonathan Townson and Aaron Michelle Carr-Isaacs; and Papaw’s little buddy, Gavyn Lewis.
Graveside services for Aaron F. Glover will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, in the New Slagle Cemetery with the Rev. Jerry Lyons officiating. Interment will follow the service. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, will be Harold Rasnick, Dale Buckles, Lee Weintraut, Tim Palmer, Ray Tester and Mike Williams. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to all the people for their prayers, visits and food during his illness. Friends may also visit with the family at the residence of his daughter and son-in-law, Melinda Diane and Sam Carr.
