ELIZABETHTON — Elizabethton’s Max Murphy did it again Monday.

Murphy, the Appalachian League’s leading hitter, used his third hit of the night to break a 3-3 tie in the bottom of the seventh. He placed a grounder up the middle fielded by shortstop Jose Martinez, but the throw was bobbled at first by Brandon Dulin. On the two-out hit, Jeremias Pineda never stopped at third and came in to give the Twins a 4-3 lead, a score that would hold up.
