Mr. and Mrs. Alan Jackson Walser, 108 Sunnyview Court, Johnson City, will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on Sunday, July 20, 2014, in the East Side Freewill Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, 704 Siam Road, Elizabethton, with a reception from 2 until 4 p.m.

The couple were married by the late Rev. B. Mack Canup at his West G Street home in Elizabethton on July 25, 1964.

Mrs. Walser is the former Lana Ruth Fair.

The occasion will be hosted by their children, Randy Walser and wife Bethany of Nashville, and Cindy Crowe and husband Brian of Johnson City. They also have an infant son deceased, Mark Alan.

The couple have two granddaughters, Alana “Loni” Walser of Nashville and Whitney Lanea Crowe of Johnson City.
