Babb – Bowers

Announcement is made of the engagement and upcoming marriage of Olivia Kay Babb and Travis Wayne Bowers.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Tina and Barry English of  Elizabethton and Andres Gomez of Renton, Wash. She is the granddaughter of Steve and Carol Babb of Elizabethton, Linda Whitehead of Elizabethton and Tom Whitehead of Elizabethton.

Olivia is a 2009 graduate of Elizabethton High School and a 2013 graduate of the Tennessee Technology Center LPN Program.

Her fiancé is the son of Glenn and Cheryl Bowers of Elizabethton. He is the grandson of Lillie Mae Stevens of Hampton and the late Gerald Stevens, and Clint Bowers of Elizabethton and the late Ruby Bowers.

Travis is a 2004 graduate of Elizabethton High School and attended Roan State Community College and Columbia State Community College.

The couple will be married in a private outdoor ceremony at Meredith Valley Farm in Elizabethton on Saturday, August 2, 2014.
