The Reece Museum has expanded its hours, opening an hour earlier and on an added day.
A unit of the Center for Appalachian Studies and Services at East Tennessee State University, the museum is now open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., an increase of four hours to the weekly schedule. Previously, the museum was closed Mondays and opened at 10 a.m.
The museum also welcomes events at other times. Individuals and campus and community are encouraged to keep the Reece Museum in mind when planning events such as lectures, meetings and receptions.
“We continually showcase the diverse talents of regional artists, campus scholars and select traveling exhibits,” said Randy Sanders, interim museum director. “We see the Reece Museum as a place with wide-open doors — a laboratory for exploration.”
Three reserved parking spaces are available directly in front of the Reece Museum at 363 Stout Drive; special parking permits for these spaces may be obtained at the museum’s front desk. Visitor parking passes, which allow guests to park in any faculty/staff or student lot, may be obtained between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at the Parking Services Office at 908 W. Maple St.; these are also available via email at parking@etsu.edu and online at https://etsuis.etsu.edu/Parking.
