Hannah Hulshult came out on fire in a key District 1-A/AA match Thursday against Sullivan East’s Morgan Murray. Then she survived Murray’s blaze of fury in the end.

In the end Hulshult’s 8-6 triumph over Murray helped set the tone for the Lady Cyclones 8–1 win against the Lady Patriots in the team match. On the boys’ side, the East won over Elizabethton by a score of 6-3.

The Hulshult-Murray match on paper looked like the most competitive and intriguing of the day as Murray has been dominant from the No. 2 singles position for the Lady Patriots this year while Hulshult has also been very strong in the same spot.
